The British Chamber, CBBC and LehmanBrown bring you this one-day workshop focusing on the transfer-pricing issues that affect businesses in China as part of our Master Class series, which provides you with professional training in the most in-demand business skills.

Whether you are trading cross-border as a major multinational with a complex corporate structure, selling products across territory or division, or an SME operating across different tax jurisdictions, this workshop will give you a better understanding of how transfer pricing works, enable you to make your business tax-efficient and compliant, and show you how to resolve disputes, using practical case studies to reinforce the learning points.

The class will be led by Russell Brown, Managing Partner of LehmanBrown International Accountants, a tax expert with 20 years’ experience in China including the establishment and development of businesses here.

We will consider the key transfer-pricing issues for companies in China relating to distribution, manufacturing, R&D, financing and management operations. Key points covered in the workshop will include the following:

The course is suitable for all business owners engaged in transfer-pricing activities, particularly advisers, lawyers, accountants and tax inspectors.

The course is beginner-intermediate level and will enable participants who have a basic understanding of transfer-pricing principles to gain an in-depth understanding of them and learn how to manage them effectively.

Russell Brown – Managing Partner, LehmanBrown International Accountants

 
Mr Russell Brown is founder and Managing Partner of LehmanBrown International Accountants, a China-focused accounting, taxation and business advisory firm with operations in Beijing, Hong Kong and five other offices across China employing around 200 professionals. Russell has over 28 years’ working experience including 20 years living in China and has been involved in establishing and developing businesses in China. Prior to founding LehmanBrown, Russell was Global CFO of one of the world’s largest public relations and communications consulting companies and prior to this, their Asia Pacific Regional CFO. He currently acts as an advisor to international companies entering the China market and to Chinese companies venturing abroad, and is a founding director and Chairman of the Asian Transformation and Turnaround Association. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on Taxation, Accounting and Doing Business In and With China.Russell gained a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Bournemouth University, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the UK and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He is also an Associate Global Management Accountant. He is currently Treasurer of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in China. Until recently he was Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in China, Vice Chair of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) and prior to this he also acted as Vice Chair and Treasurer. He is also an Honorary Member of The 48 Group Club. Russell is actively involved in many charitable events and is Chair of Beijing’s annual British Charity Ball and St George’s Day Charity Dinner. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Beijing.
