AmCham Tianjin invited LehmanBrown International Accountants to their monthly executive breakfast where members of their 2019 Executive Committee gather to hear updates and insights related to China’s market and developments.
The China Government and Tax Bureau have been making strides to reduce the tax burden on companies large and small, and to help smaller companies who are often the driver of the economy and new job creation. With this in mind, Value Added Tax (“VAT”) rates have been reduced and also the export refund system improved to aid cash flow of companies. Russell Brown OBE, Managing Partner of LehmanBrown International Accountants presented on the VAT system, its history and evolvement, the recent changes, and how this would help companies.
