Event Summary: LehmanBrown sponsors ACCA Job Hunting Competition 2016
LehmanBrown International Accountants once again attended ACCA Job Hunting Competition 2016. As a valued ACCA Job Hunting Competition sponsor, Kiran Patel, Marketing & Communications Director of LehmanBrown, being the representative of Lehmanbrown, has been invited as the judges in the panel to evaluate the performance for the Job Hunting Competition short listed candidates. Kiran used to get involved in the event for a number of years, providing training courses on presentation skills and career consulting to build confidence for candidates in achieving career goals. LehmanBrown International Accountants was nominated as ACCA Beijing’s first Platinum Approved Employer, and is a continued strong supporter of ACCA activities.
The ACCA Job Hunting Competition is a nationwide competition held by ACCA in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Over 5,500 university students in these 5 regions registered to participate in the campaign, covering nearly all major universities in China. The two-month long competition gained support from over 30 companies, with national sponsors and regional internship sponsors, including LehmanBrown, PwC, EY, Lee & Lee Associates, Ruihua, Lenovo, etc.
During the competition, each team should carry out an in-depth analysis on Samper’s strategic growth during five year period, and provide possible solutions for Samper’s operation. Through the fierce competition, Central University of Finance and Economics has won the 1st prize, following by Xi’an Jiaotong University and Lanzhou University, ranking the 2nd place and the 3rd. Among all of the potential candidates, Suyi Liu from Lanzhou University has gained the best performing individual in this competition.
LehmanBrown also took our support of the Job Hunting Competition to other cities, providing internships to candidates in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou regional finals. We look forward to once again being part of next year’s competition and wish all Grand Finalists the very best of luck.
