Foreign Company Financial Compliance and Taxation Seminar • Recap

LehmanBrown International Accountants presented the “Foreign Company Financial Compliance and Taxation” seminar co-hosted with The Executive Centre (TEC) in their China Central Place center on 21 May 2021. LehmanBrown’s experts shared their knowledge, practical experience and case studies with the tenants from different TEC locations in Beijing, focusing on the financial difficulties of foreign companies doing business in China.

Dickson Leung, the Senior Partner of LehmanBrown, welcomed attendees and briefly introduced LehmanBrown and its services. An introduction was provided  of the complexities of accounting, tax filing, regulation compliance, payrolls & social welfare, bank management and annual statutory according to the sizes of the foreign companies operating in China.

Following this a review of the corporate income tax was provided for different companies with or without actual operations and income, value-added tax, individual income tax for expatriates and local staff, as well as stamp duty.

During the Q&A session, the attendees raised some questions about capital registration, R&D tax exemptions and other financial problems they faced. Some also enquired about other services, such as HR services, seeking one-stop service for their company.

LehmanBrown’s experts were glad to share their insights and experience with TEC tenants to solve the financial difficulties and problems they face and also be of assistance when they need help in financial or HR management.
