De-risking your business with China

With an increasing amount of business being exchanged between China and the rest of the world, and more global assignments being launched, this seminar will look at crucial financial and HR factors to consider when doing business with China.

Over the past 30 years China has become a global economic superpower, reshaping our global economy like never seen before. Where previously the country kept its door firmly shut, the Chinese Government is now welcoming foreign companies to participate in its economic growth, with President Xi Jinping stating that “China will never close its open door to the outside world.”

Our speakers

Russell Brown OBE, Managing Partner, LehmanBrown International Accountants, will present on the following key areas:

A SWOT analysis to provide an overview of the current environment in the wake of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
Optimisation of tax planning and reduction of cross-border tax risks.
Use of internal controls to reduce operational risks.
Managing compliance in a moving regulatory environment.
Understanding China Employment Law and layout risk.
How to structure Management and key positions.

Kimberly Bradshaw, Managing Director, Buzzacott HR Consultancy team, will look at:

How employment law differences translate into HR actions.
The potential impact of international staff working in China and how to minimise the risks of assignment failure.
Ensuring expatriate agreements protect both companies and their employees.

Join us at this seminar, followed by drinks and canapés, to gain insight into how to de-risk your business with China. Refreshments will be provided after the seminar, allowing a networking opportunity for those wishing to increase their China and UK contact base and discuss first-hand the experience of those setting up abroad.
