Event Summary: China CSR Awards 2016
On Wednesday 23rd of March, Kiran Patel, Marketing & Communications Director at LehmanBrown International Accountants, judged the inaugural China Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Awards 2016. LehmanBrown’s Marketing department were also highly instrumental in the execution and success of the event.
Aside from the responsibility of companies to be good citizens, CSR in 2016 is critical for good business. The Government agenda in China has shifted from hardware to software. Under the 12th Five Year Plan roads have been built, schools erected and the infrastructure of cities improved. The 13th Five year plan will shift the focus to a greener environment, quality of education and the living standards of the least well off. With this in mind, the inaugural China CSR Awards were conceptualised. The high level of entries across the board from major MNC’s, SOEs and SMEs were reflective of a desire to showcase CSR initiatives that companies are heavily involved in acorss China.
LehmanBrown International Accountants are firm believers in supporting the community and through our various projects, we have engaged our staff and the community to support good causes. It was therefore a privilege to have LehmanBrown representation on the judge panel.
