LehmanBrown Offers Summer Internships

BEIJING, 14th JUNE 2010 – LehmanBrown International Accountants grants summer internships to five students from Hong Kong-based Universities.

LehmanBrown International Accountants in-conjunction with the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (Beijing office) have partnered together to offer five University students from Hong Kong summer internships at LehmanBrown’s Beijing office.

Dickson Leung, Senior Partner, LehmanBrown International Accountants commented:

“The recent global economic climate has caused many companies to enforce a hiring freeze and this has meant University students are making their first step into a job market that is significantly reduced compared with two or three years ago. On top of this, the pool of highly educated candidates is growing and as a result of both factors, competition is now fiercer than ever.” Good internships will increase the competitiveness of those students graduating in two to three year’s time. In particular, as Hong Kong is still viewed as the ‘gateway to China’ those students with China experience will be more value and will be able to secure better positions.

Mr. Leung added:

“It is increasingly difficult for students, including those from Hong Kong to obtain internships and to gain the China-based work experience that they need to progress. This leads to a frustrating circle where lack of work experience hinders job opportunities and vice versa. At LehmanBrown we are pleased to provide internship opportunities and a chance for students from Hong Kong to learn and experience business life in China.”

雷博国际会计与中国香港商会( 北京分会) 合作，向五位来自香港的大学生提供在雷博国际会计北京办公室的暑期实习职位。

“由于近期全球经济不景气，导致许多公司压缩招聘计划，这就意味着在校大学的应届毕业生即将面临的就业市场明显比二、三年前低迷。除此之外，高学历的人群迅速扩大，其结果就是目前的就业竞争比以往任何时候都激烈。良好的实习经历将增加即将在两至三年间毕业的大学生的竞争力。特别是，由于香港一直被视为“通往中国的大门”，因此，这些学生在大陆的实习经验将会变得更有价值，他们将更容易得到理想的职位。”
