Human Resources FAQ's

Joint venture companies and wholly foreign owned enterprises enjoy independent legal person status. How does this affect the recruitment process?

The result of this independent legal status is that such companies are afforded complete autonomy with regard to their employment decisions. For example, they may choose whom they employ, and what criteria to apply throughout the recruitment process. Nevertheless, such companies must file their recruitment plans to their local Labour and Social Security Department, who in turn ensure that within all labour contracts, the legitimate rights and interests of the workers are well protected.
