What documents are required for the conversion and remittance of royalties paid to the offshore licensor or transferor of know-how?

The documents required are:

(1) a written application;

(2) the license or transfer agreement;

(3) the invoice or notice of payment;

(4) the Technology and Equipment Importation Contract Registration Certificate, the Technology Import License issued by the authority in charge foreign trade and economic cooperation, or, in some cases, the Joint Venture Contract Approval Certificate or Foreign Invested Enterprise Approval Certificate;

(5) the Technology Importation Contract Data Sheet, or, in some cases, the Joint Venture Contract Approval Certificate or Foreign Invested Enterprise Approval Certificate, and

(6) the Tax Certificate.
